    @supermrE

    As you may not be aware, Vegas World has told us that they do not support the GEMS promised by Third Party Vendors. Therefore your only recourse is to complain to that vendor directly.

    It is my opinion, that it is a waste of time to attempt to earn GEMS in this manor. Most of these third party Vendors / Advertisers have NO intention of issuing the promised GEMS. Most of the time they are only interested in spamming yours email box, never give your email address to any of these vendors. In addition they may attempt to direct you to unsafe web site which may upload spyware / malware to you operating system and sometimes even worse.

    @ BAJA B

    I utilize the professional version of Malwarebytes and CCleaner  which can be downloaded from cnet.com/downloads. The Malwarebytes, I pay for because it warns you if an attempt is made. CCleaner also monitors your internet. Since I do know McAfee when he first started with his antivirus and firewall programs, I use them.

    Note: Do not download anything from IOBit, it includes spyware and it's almost impossible to remove.

    @Fred765

    Let me explain who I am. You will find my name on the Microsoft Partner's list in addition to the Whose Who list in business. I have been the owner of three (3) software companies. I currently still have my hand in the music industry and have a full sound proof studio in my home. In addition, I know several computer Lang's.

    For your information both CCleaner and Malwarebytes appear within top 5 software's on several sites. I suggested cnet.com/downloads due the fact that you can read about the software before downloading it and both cnet.com and download.com and that it's virus free. I use these two (2) software's in additional to McAfee and some that are not available to the public. Yes, I Know both McAfee and Peter Norton (sold company) personally from going to the computer shows in Vegas.

    I suggested these pieces of software because they are both east to use and cheap it you what to purchase. I agree the CCleaner is not upgraded that often, but it has several applications. However, Malwarebytes is updated daily and McAffee is updated daily as opposed to when he use to only update on Wednesdays.

    Yes I have utilized SpyBot software and several others and am not pleased with most of them. This kind of software is oftentimes used by Best Buys that has few Microsoft Certified people.

    In addition to having a degree in Civil Engineering (Traffic), Computer Sciences from U of MD and Northwestern, and having several Microsoft Certifications.

    As I am aware most software utilized by a user is personal preference, so use what you feel comfortable with.

    However, as for SpyBot Search and Destroy. I don't recommend it due to 2014 date for the software update and even though the database has been updated. It's my opinion that free version is to crippled to do anything worthwhile. Even when it is completely removed it still leaves pieces of itself behind which was found by the free version of CCleaner.

    Why you would dislike cnet.com, download.com or many others, I have no idea. I downloaded SpyBot from the source. It doesn't show up in the top 20 of any of the major software sites. Like I said, if your happy with it use it, but your not protected...

    True CCleaner has been around longer. However, there was a new version just released. Spybot hasn't made any major improvements in years. Are you sure you know what your taking about?

    @Fred

    Even installing programs like Adobe flash etc. if one is not careful, it installs other stuff that one may not want.  How can you be "careful" when installing Adobe Flash? It's a necessary piece of software, and as far as I know, it can only be installed from the manufacturer's web site.

    SPYBOT WILL STOP ALL THE ADWARE STUFF YOU WILL INADVERTENTLY PICK UP   I THINK IT'S THE BEST THING SINCE I'VE BEEN ONLINE...IT'S LIKE HAVING YOUR OWN LITTLE WOLVERINE PROTECTING YOU...IT BLOCKS 3RD PARTY ADWARE COOKIES & IMMUNIZES YOUR ENTIRE PC

    Why you would ever want to remove Adobe Flash, unless it becomes corrupt, but there is a uninstall program on the Adobe site. You have to go to their main page and do a search for it.

    there is No program to uninstall SpyBot and it's crippled if you don't pay for it as for what it find. The people at SpyBot won't help you either. It is spyware and you have to know what your doing to get rid of it.

    If your utilizing chrome or Windows 10 Edge you don't have to worry about upgrading Adobe Flash it upgrades itself automatically. You can also go to a site the will test to see if you have the latest version, if you are unsure.

    The people that are still running Windows XP which is no longer being supported by Microsoft and NO updates are available by Microsoft and any update you get is from a 3rd party vendor. Also, I suggest that you go to the Official Adobe site to get the Flash Player and not use one of those programs that upgrade your system and it's divers.

    Since WV or whoever has not approved my last message, I'm done with small minded people like you.

    GOOD GRIEF!! Will you "old men" stop acting like you're 10 years old? I'm very close to 80, and I couldn't care less about who was "there at the beginning"! I'm sick of seeing you bickering back and forth about things no one gives a hoot about! Fred...you love to give out advice all the time. Don't you think MOST of us already know what to click on, and what to leave alone? I've only been into the world of computers for about 15 years, and started off with a Dell Windows 98 desktop. Didn't know a thing about computers, but I had a lot of fun learning. Now PLEASE just let it go, and quit acting so smart all the time. (Not just you Fred.) People aren't as dumb as you seem to think. Let's come out smiling and get back to the original topic. This isn't a "war zone"!!

    Yes, this Post definitely got way off track from the original inquiry.   supermrE if you are coming back to your Post to read any replies, the following link should help:

    https://vegasworld.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205261685-3rd-Party-Gem-Offers-No-support-available-from-Vegas-World

    I have been earning my GEMS since I started with the site over 4 years ago and have had great success getting them.  On the handful of occasions over the years where the GEMS were not awarded in the time frame the offer specified, I have gone into each Partner page, as is instructed on the above link, and reported the GEMS has not being received.  They may ask for e-mail proof that you completed the offer, which you should find in the e-mail account you have associated with your Vegas World account, or even better take a screen shot once done that generally says 'Congratulations you completed offer' or something along those lines, and once that is provided the GEMS should be awarded.

    I know some members have success with the Surveys but I stay away from them.  My thoughts are some type of acknowledgement would also be provided upon successful completion of them but since I have not participated in any I am not sure.

    IMPORTANT - the key to all Partner GEM offers is to read the requirements given for each one before participating.  For some offers the GEMS are awarded right away, some 10 minutes, 30 minutes and even 24 hours. Some you have to post on FaceBook once you are done, some type in a captcha given and so on.  If the requirements are not met in FULL the GEMS will not be awarded.  Once GEMS are awarded you will get notification of this in your Vegas World e-mail under Notices.

    Hope this helps and if you have any questions leave me an e-mail on here.

    Have a great dayl!
