How to keep from freeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzing

After about 9 months of fear about freezing up while chatting in crowded and relatively empty rooms, I think I found a fix.  If you stay in the room list instead of the room chat, it will keep you from freezing.  I used to freeze about 20 times a day and now I have not froze up in the past 5 days.  You can review the room chat but switch back to room list before writing anything in public.  I believe the problem arises from poor synchronization of the message bubbles and the room chat window.   I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM (FREEZING)...I BOUGHT A NEW MOUSE, AND IT HAS 

  NEVER FROZE AGAIN.
