Why does fringo  freeze when I get the 2 x icon, does it every time so is wasting my gems for power ups

  The 2x Power-Up requires the player to select one of the Paylines to the left of the main Fringo Board. The game will essentially stop working until you select an open/incomplete Payline.

  Since only open Paylines may be selected, make sure you choose one of the tabs with a number. The tabs that say "Fringo" have already been completed and cannot be chosen. The game will ignore any attempts to select already completed Paylines.
