why can not i earn gems for free

it keep saying     redeem  coupons       but i do not have coupons       i need to earn gems  so i can    purchase  items.every time  i attempt to earn  gems  it says  redeem  coupon  and enter the code  but  i do not have  coupons or code s.  it is making me   mad

  the redeem coupon has left the screen now all I get is "Buy Gems".   I watched the videos for gems and not I can't even do that.  I am not going to "buy" gems!!!!!

  IMO there isn't much reason to participate on this site without gem offers. Coins have no real world value so why "buy" gems to win them? OTOH no gems means no parties, no charms, greatly diminished chance of progressing in the game, and virtually NO FUN. :(

  free gems disappear before you can even get the chance to view the video or you get a blank black screen
