When I try to use my charms it does not allow me to move 1 piece at a time. It moves the entire bunch

  Charms can be displayed and used either grouped or one at a time.  Grouped charms tend to pay out at a rate better matched to how you're wagering, but you can still use them one at a time if you prefer.  The option to switch between the two is found in your Charm Manager.
