  Is your CVV# correct? Otherwise, can't imagine why it won't work. VW will take your purchase over the phone, as they've done that for me. As a last resort, try PayPal (but NOT if you are using the mobile app. It will take many, many days (if ever) before VW will award your gems through iTunes.

  To buy Gems, click on Buy in the upper right corner of the screen. Then click Buy Gems. You'll then be shown the different options to buy Gems, including the payment method you'd like to use.
